The Southeastern Indiana SBDC currently serves the residents of sixteen counties. Our mandate is to help small business’s succeed. We do not loan money or compete with the free marketplace. Many have heard the old saying “Give a man a fish and he will eat for the day, but if you teach a man how to fish, he can eat for a lifetime.” This old saying ties into how the SBDC operates. We focus on business fundamentals that help a business be a success. We do not a give a potential business owner a plan, but we do give them the tools needed to complete their own plan. We realize every business is unique but we also recognize that the fundamentals of good business management remain the same across all types of business. We distribute our service through one on one counseling sessions, workshops, and Nx Level Entrepreneurial Training courses. Each clients information is held in strict confidence.

The Venture Out Business Center is located in Madison Indiana. The SBDC Regional Center, hosted by the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, is located in the 40,000 square foot incubator facility. The VOBC includes rental space for offices, warehousing, light manufacturing, and training facilities. The Ohio River Valley Food Venture Commercial Kitchen is also located in the facility. Lease rates and incubator amenities are designed to ensure business startup success.
